Our thanks to the Department of Applied Engineering, Safety & Technology (AEST) at Millersville University for hosting the Pennsylvania FTC Season Kick Off again this year and the Pennsylvania FTC Championship Tournament again this year!

Millersville University Department of Applied Engineering, Safety & Technology serves 500 students and offers undergraduate degrees in Technology & Engineering Education teacher preparation for those interested in becoming Technology & Engineering Education Teachers (K-12); Occupational Safety & Environmental Health for those seeking to become safety professionals; and Applied Engineering and Technology Management for students whose career paths take them towards applied engineering and management professions. Their Applied Engineering & Technology Management majors specialize in one of seven different technical concentration options including Advanced Manufacturing, Computer Aided Drafting/Design, Construction Technology, Nanofabrication Manufacturing, Graphic Communications/Printing, Robotics & Control Systems, and General Technology. We also offer graduate degrees in Technology Education, and are developing new degree programs in advanced studies robotics and innovation.

Tour

Teams visiting the Central region will have the opportunity to tour Millersville University’s Department of Applied Engineering, Safety & Technology (AEST) beginning at 11:15a.m. You will tour AEST’s 14 laboratories focused on various technologies, including electronics, automation, and computer-aided drafting and design (3D printing). See how students in AEST prepare to become designers, innovators, managers, educators, and industry professionals. Experience a 5-minute industrial robotic arm demo — robots dancing to the 1983 classic Styx song “Mr. Roboto” as well.
