PA Rookies Qualifying Tournament

This team was completely immersed in their community, their team, and the spirit of the competition. Cheering other teams, unplanned excellence, and an upbeat positive approach meant this team would never flame out.

This team focused on doing a few things exceedingly well – including Outreach and Education to the Philadelphia community. As their name suggests they prioritized multiple complex tasks with surgical precision.

This team’s Swiss Army design incorporated multiple belts and flywheels to achieve diverse tasks. Reaching out to schools through education and fundraising, they provide a bright light in the sky of science.

Incorporating 3-sensors for added control, this team clearly established good gaming as a precursor to good design. Unlike their mascot, this team is not cold blooded, they are excited and proud to be here.

This team established a unique design using techniques the judges had difficulty spelling. Bright lights, soft edges, and an omni-directional drive train distinguished this teams’ work. Reaching out to local welders, sensor manufacturers, and multiple sponsors, this team would never be considered “In the Box”.

This team exemplifies the best of FIRST – design, sportsmanship, delivery and outreach. Amongst a field of rookie teams, the judges looked for a rising star… and found them.
