FTC PA 2022-23 Season Blast #4 – Kick-Off, Registrations and Team Resources

Hello Teams and Volunteers,

This is the fourth in the continuing series of Pennsylvania FIRST Robotics emails. Previous emails can be found on our website in the COMMUNICATION Archives. Also note that we have added currently scheduled FTC EVENTS.

As you are aware, we have arranged to have 4 “live” and in-person fields at various locations in the state! These locations will host other FIRST Tech Challenge teams from within their region. This is in addition to the Virtual broadcast we are planning that can be attended by all teams and will also be webcast to the in-person events. At the live events, there will be a field with the Power Play challenge set up to augment the season and game experience and our Head Referee, Noah Dillard, will review the game rules. The hosting organizations have provided their own direct registration through linked forms. Please see details and location for each on our FTC EVENTS page and reach out directly if space is still available. Otherwise, please join our webcast as detailed below.

Teams do not need to be fully registered with FIRST FTC (HQ) to attend the Kick Off events.

FTC is consolidating much of the Technical Documentation important to organizing and leading your teams and building/programming your robots

Great news. FIRST Tech Challenge has moved the control system, programming, and CAD resources to an html platform “FIRST Tech Challenge Docs” to increase searchability for important topics and better organize content. The resources are now organized by persona so that you can easily find what you’re looking for based on your needs as a Rookie Team, Veteran Team, Coach, or Technical Mentor. This platform will be updated regularly with new content and links to sponsor content and offers. Check it out. See link below.

Reminder – Establish and Register your FTC Team or the season with FIRST!
